Medical Science Liaison Oncology Line Management Team Build

Location: US, Remote (Preference for East Coast)

Package: $230,000 – $250,000 basic salary, bonus, stock options & more

Responsible for defining the MSL strategy, you will join a fast-growing innovative biotechnology company focused on the development of first-in-class therapeutics for the treatment of Cancer who are currently seeking a highly experienced MSL Oncology to remotely build and establish a team of MSLs across the US.

Reporting into the Vice President Medical Affairs and working closely with the senior leadership team, this individual will be responsible for growing and leading the MSL team to provide strategic vision, leadership, and management of all MSL activities. With a pipeline in Hematologic Malignancies, this individual will also build and establish KOL relationships in AML, Lymphoma & other areas.

This role will initially be hands on and will conduct MSL duties while the team is being established and needs a highly driven MSL that understands the nature of this type of role. You will likely hire a team of 4 beneath you. A great opportunity for long term growth while working on an exciting pipeline of products including Heme Malignancies, Immune Inhibitors & Carcinomas.

Responsibilities will include:

Responsible for maintaining current relationships across the US while also establishing new partnerships within the oncology medical community

Responsible for pre and post launch activities as part of a larger Medical Affairs team

Identify new target areas for specific programs

Collaborate with cross functional teams supporting clinical development programs for trial execution

Responsible for planning and executing MSL hiring, strategizing specific territories for growth and providing leadership / mentoring to the team

Will externally represent the company at Oncology meetings including congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and investigator meetings

Act as a trusted scientific partner by adding scientific and medical value to the products while also supporting the research team with developing new assets

Contribute to the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Strategy for all related pre and post launch activities

Requirements:

Advanced medical degree (PharmD, PhD or MD), other advanced degrees may also be considered

3-5 years experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry

3+ years experience as an Oncology MSL in the industry

KOL relationships in Hematologic Malignancies

Relevant scientific Oncology experience

Prior experience line managing preferred but not essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Remuneration:
