Cpl Physicians are working with a leading global pharmaceutical company specialized in Oncology with a strong emphasis on Research & Development. As part of a team build project, this organization are seeking two US Senior Medical Affairs Directors, one for GI / HCC and one in Melanoma / Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.
As the US Lead, you will be responsible for preparing the team for imminent launches in GI & Melanoma. The company plans to continue expanding the team as the pipeline consists of 13 indications in 19 clinical trials. You will provide medical leadership for medical affairs strategy, planning and supportive tactics within the therapeutic area while working closely with the leadership team to continue developing the Oncology portfolio. Long term progression and development available.
Responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement strategic Medical Affairs plans communicating closely with the leadership team
Act as the subject matter expert on the assigned product portfolio providing internal and external scientific training
Utilize medical knowledge to provide strategic input for the development of product strategies while liaising with external stakeholders
Responsible for pre and post launch activities as part of a larger Medical Affairs team
Collaborate with cross functional teams supporting clinical development programs for trial execution
Will externally represent the company at Oncology meetings including congresses & symposia
Requirements:
Advanced medical degree (MD, PhD or PharmD)
Prior Medical Affairs experience in Oncology
4+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Relevant scientific Oncology experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
