This is an outstanding opportunity for a Technical Scientist to join a rapidly growing oncology biotech who are upscaling their scientific teams and developing a truly novel therapy and technology platform.

Working within the translational sciences team you will contribute towards characterization of preclinical assets through the execution of in vitro assays. In this role you will design and execute studies for the evaluation of functional properties and pharmacological activity of lead candidate molecules via cell-based an biochemical assays. Previous experience across a range of in vitro assays and the ability to take on new technologies quickly will be crucial to this position.

Key Duties:

Development, optimization and execution of in vitro assays including flow cytrometry, cell signalling, proliferation, cellular cytotoxicity, immune-mediated cell death and ELISA binding assays.

Present data and summaries at weekly meeting.

Communicate ideas, results & identify and present solutions.

Provide input into in vitro assay development strategies and optimization of workflows for in vitro lab activities.

Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of lab based equipment.

Authoring guidelines, data sheets, SOPs and reports.

Assist in the training and mentoring of staff members.

Supporting in vivo pharmacology in rodent models.

About you:

You will be Degree qualified in cell biology or similar scientific subject with at least 8-years relative experience.

Able to demonstrate expertise in designing and executing in vitro cell-based or biochemical assays for evaluating functional properties of lead product candidates.

Technical excellence with cell-based, biochemical and cytoxicity assays including ELISAs, WB, multicolor flow cytometry and immunofluorescence.

Experience with primary cell lines.

Ideally hold previous experience with antibody based therapeutics.

Knowledge of BSL-1 & BSL-2 safety guidelines.

Able to work under own initiative, self-organized and excellent problem solving skills.

Must be able to communicate and present data and ideas to a wider audience effectively
