$390,000 – $395,000 basic salary

This private, multibillion dollar biotechnology company are going through a phase of exciting growth and are beginning to navigate their way into the oncology field. With a strong commitment to other therapeutic areas, the c-suite team now need a strong oncology leader to help them grow and develop their new diverse oncology portfolio. As the Vice President Clinical Development, you will direct multiple oncology development projects while also establishing a growth plan for the team beneath you.

Developing small molecules for oncology areas with high unmet needs such as metastatic brain cancer, the organization has a Phase 1 ready candidate and several discovery programs while also actively pursuing promising assets and platform technologies to add to their growing oncology portfolio. This biotechnology company still have an exciting start-up feel while also receiving a large amount of funding and support from their parent company, allowing individuals to continue working in a smaller environment with extensive long term job security.

Responsibilities will include:

Responsible for building and establishing a high performing clinical development team
Serve as Global Project Leader on multiple oncology products
Responsible for setting the strategy and clinical development plan, aligning the R&D team
Collaborate cross functionally with the wider business, using additional resources where needed
Management of the CROs involved in Phase 1-3 oncology clinical trials including all operational aspects and relationships
Highly patient focused while also driving innovation
Establish the oncology franchise, responsible for new assets, acquisitions, and commercialization
Work closely with the c-suite team providing regular updates on the timelines of projects and upcoming studies as well as any potential challenges the team is facing

Requirements:

MD Degree
Board Certified oncologist preferred
12+ years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
Early and late phase oncology development experience
Prior expertise leading a cross functional oncology group
Track record of building and establishing clinical development teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Remuneration:
The successful candidate will receive an excellent basic salary with a benefits package to include the likes of a 35% bonus, LTI scheme, 401k, medical benefits & more
