Tom Hancox
– US Vice-President

In his 9th year with Cpl, Tom initially built the European commercial desk before inheriting oversight of Engineering, Quality Assurance and Scientific divisions, winning 3 annual group awards in his last 3 years before transitioning over to the U.S.

As the US VP he has now continued his track record of successfully delivering on expansion projects with our life sciences partners covering a range of verticals, therapeutic areas and regions. Whichever functional service model suits, Tom oversees the client relations to ensure each project is delivered to the standards Cpl set globally and to strengthen our offering.

We are currently expanding the Boston office in Massachusetts to further increase our local knowledge and expertise in the U.S with plans to double the team size in Q4 before additional growth in 2024.

Bea Casey
– 
Director of US Operations

Bea has over 10 years of experience in staffing, which has involved working on a multitude of technical projects within Biotech, Life Sciences, Robotics, and Pharmaceuticals, from drug discovery to supply chain operations. Bea has lived and worked in the US for 7 years, spending time in New York and Austin. Outside of Cpl Bea was the first female director in the US and has won peer and company awards for her work achievements but feels most accomplished when being able to make a direct impact on the success of her client’s projects, which has included ground-breaking work within the fields of AI and Machine Learning.

Outside of Cpl, Bea is a keen reader, yogi, and traveller who has a Pomeranian sidekick who joins her on her expeditions

 

Chris Brough
– 
Senior Consultant 

Having spent time working within a CRO himself, Chris has a good understanding of the clinical trial process to support our Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and CRO partners. His previous experience working in the Clinical Research industry gives the team a more intimate knowledge of the needs and desires of the teams we help build and – as the global Clinical Lead – his network across US & Canada covers clin ops, development, pharmacovigilance and Biostatistics/Programming. Chris plays a key part in CPL’s ongoing US expansion reporting into our Boston office.

Rhys Rowberry

Consultant

Rhys sits within our U.S team where he specialises in physician/medical recruitment across all therapeutic areas. His network and therefore expertise spreads across clinical development, medical affairs and pharmacovigilance. Rhys works to the high standards globally set by CPL and is a core member of CPL’s ongoing US expansion, where he’ll continue to source alongside the Boston based team.

Yvette Cleland
– CEO

Yvette Cleland CEO of Cpl Life Sciences, a global talent firm. In 2019 and 2021 Yvette was nominated by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) as one of the top 50 most powerful women in staffing globally. After eight years working in the pharmaceutical sector she moved to professional staffing and combines knowledge of both life sciences & staffing in her work at CPL.

In 2012 she joined Clinical Professionals to scale the business for acquisition, drive growth and expand the brand portfolio and global foot print expanding into the US in 2017. Under her leadership the business was successfully acquired, launched the award winning Graduate Academies and CEO/CMO Biotech summits and was involved in the UK apprenticeship trailblazers.

In 2019 she wrote a Parliamentary Review on life science skill shortages, speaks regularly for industry around the “wake up call” and her passion is addressing the growing skills gaps in life sciences.

Glen Hall
– CFO

Glen is a highly accomplished and experienced professional in the field of finance, with an extensive background as a qualified Chartered Accountant. He spent seven years at KPMG and has held a number of senior finance roles, including at Randstad UK. Prior to its acquisition, Glen was a shareholder in Clinical Professionals and successfully co-led the sale of the business to Cpl in 2015.

Since then, Glen has been an integral part of Cpl UK responsible for all UK subsidiaries and playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing financial strategies, as well as being involved in M&A, and debt financing, to ensure sustainable growth and financial stability across the organisation.

As Chief Financial Officer, Glen is responsible for the finance, HR, and legal teams and his keen eye for detail and ability to navigate complex financial landscapes have been instrumental in establishing Cpl UK as a key player in the healthcare, life sciences, and technology staffing industry. He is committed to excellence, continuous learning, adapting to evolving market trends and is known for his collaborative approach, building strong relationships with stakeholders, both inside and outside of the organisation.

Sarah Goddard
Global Enterprise Accounts 

With over 20 years professional staffing experience, the last 12 spent leading and developing the Clinical Professionals Group brands across life sciences in the UK, EU and internationally, Sarah has demonstrable market knowledge, networks and delivery capability which she’s built through partnership and shared success. She is proud to have spear-headed our innovative and award-winning Academy training programmes, apprenticeships and transformational talent solutions with exciting and varied clients, as well as starting up numerous successful business units.

She is passionate about empowering her teams to be the best they can be; achieving their goals and objectives, living and breathing our company vision and values which mean so much to her, and that she genuinely believes will help us make a difference in industry.  Now focused on global client talent solutions, she works tirelessly with our customer base to ensure we bespoke unique solutions for them for the short and long-term, driving the best attraction, engagement and retention strategies in industry and ensuring successful delivery.

Suzanne Swan

Suzanne has over 20 years recruitment experience and for the last 11 of those he she has specialized in Life Sciences at Cpl.

Suzanne’s expertise is two-fold, building functional and geographically aligned teams of staffing specialists along with developing long-term relationships with clients offering a consultative and solution based approach tailored to the needs of her clients.

On a day to day basis Suzanne has responsibility the permanent division of Cpl Life Sciences with specialist teams in Pre-Clinical, Quality Assurance, Clinical and The Professional Services space to name a few.

Kirsty Calow
Chief Sales Officer 

​Kirsty Calow is a highly skilled and dedicated Talent Acquisition Director, with direct Pharmaceutical industry experience and a prodigious track record in supporting cutting-edge Life Science companies achieve their organisational goals through agile talent acquisition solutions.

Kirsty began her career at Pfizer where she specialised within Sales and Marketing for the Vaccines division, demonstrating a passion for improving access to medicines for high-impact infectious diseases.

Since joining Cpl Life Sciences in 2016, Kirsty has fostered lasting relationships with innovative Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical companies across the UK, Europe and the US, with a demonstrable commitment to providing best-in-class talent acquisition and advisory solutions.

With a personal interest in Regulatory Affairs and a deep network of interim and contract consultants across the Life Sciences sector, Kirsty oversees our business contract unit and has supported the contract growth, delivering bespoke fully compliant contract solutions to clients including MSP, FSP, SOW and traditional PAYE and freelance options.  Kirsty and her highly skilled team of Talent Acquisition experts, are ideally placed to support on short and long-term growth plans for Life Science organisations.
