Tom Hancox
– US Vice-President

In his 9th year with Cpl, Tom initially built the European commercial desk before inheriting oversight of Engineering, Quality Assurance and Scientific divisions, winning 3 annual group awards in his last 3 years before transitioning over to the U.S.

As the US VP he has now continued his track record of successfully delivering on expansion projects with our life sciences partners covering a range of verticals, therapeutic areas and regions. Whichever functional service model suits, Tom oversees the client relations to ensure each project is delivered to the standards Cpl set globally and to strengthen our offering.

We are currently expanding the Boston office in Massachusetts to further increase our local knowledge and expertise in the U.S with plans to double the team size in Q4 before additional growth in 2024.

Aoife Gillespie
– Consultant

The New York born Aoife brings excellent recruitment experience across all therapeutic areas. Her experience prior to CPL was focused on placing life sciences SaaS professionals into roles including Sales Executives, Project Managers, Product Managers, Solution Consultants, Marketing, Business Analysts and more. She has an impressive network and expertise that spreads across the whole pharmaceutical chain. Aoife has recently covered roles within the US & Canada covering: Senior Clinical Trial Manager Manager, Regulatory affairs Outside of Cpl, Aoife obtained a 1st class honours degree in business and Irish degree.


Outside of work, Aoife plays competitive gaelic football and camogie here in Boston, having previously played for Donegal in both sports in her earlier years.

Rhys Rowberry
Rhys Rowberry | LinkedIn

Rhys sits within our U.S team where he specialises in physician/medical recruitment across all therapeutic areas. His network and therefore expertise spreads across clinical development, medical affairs and pharmacovigilance. Rhys works to the high standards globally set by CPL and is a core member of CPL’s ongoing US expansion, where he’ll continue to source alongside the Boston based team.

Outside of Cpl, and prior to his business and HR degree, Rhys previously swam at a national level and continues to be a keen sports fan.

Yvette Cleland

Yvette Cleland CEO of Cpl Life Sciences, a global talent firm. In 2019 and 2021 Yvette was nominated by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) as one of the top 50 most powerful women in staffing globally. After eight years working in the pharmaceutical sector she moved to professional staffing and combines knowledge of both life sciences & staffing in her work at CPL.

In 2012 she joined Clinical Professionals to scale the business for acquisition, drive growth and expand the brand portfolio and global foot print expanding into the US in 2017. Under her leadership the business was successfully acquired, launched the award winning Graduate Academies and CEO/CMO Biotech summits and was involved in the UK apprenticeship trailblazers.

In 2019 she wrote a Parliamentary Review on life science skill shortages, speaks regularly for industry around the “wake up call” and her passion is addressing the growing skills gaps in life sciences.

Christopher Jimenez
Recruitment Consultant

​Christopher is a seasoned professional in life science staffing, boasting a career that spans back to 2020. With a knack for versatility, he effortlessly navigated through various verticals, donning multiple hats and carving out success along the way. However, it was in specializing as a subject matter expert within the biometrics, medical writing, and quality domains across all therapeutic areas where Christopher truly found his stride.

Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to fostering trust among candidates and clients alike, Christopher has built a reputation for excellence within the life science industry. His extensive network encompasses a wide array of specialties, ranging from clinical data management and programming to biostatistics, medical communication, and quality assurance.

Christopher’s values seamlessly align with CPL’s overarching mission to transcend mere consultancy, striving instead to give back to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. He shares a commitment to providing professionals with insights into the complexities and solutions that shape the evolving landscape of life sciences.

A proud graduate of Salem State University, Christopher earned his B.S. in Marketing with a minor in Psychology, while also leaving a lasting mark as a distinguished member and captain of the university’s soccer program. His leadership extended beyond the field as he revitalized the dormant chapter of the American Marketing Association (SSU), showcasing his innate ability to drive positive change within his community.

On a personal note, Christopher finds solace in the great outdoors, cherishing moments spent staying active and embracing the beauty of nature.
